can't connect on windows laptop after factory reset

I did the factory reset option because I couldn't remember the wifi password and my mother-in-law needed to get on with her device. Wish I hadn't done that because it took me a lot of time to get it back up and running. Our apple devices connect, e.g. iphones, ipads... but neither windows laptops are able to connect to the wirless network after I did the factory reset. Anyone know how to solve this problem?

    Hello mollybonis

If you renamed your wireless back to the same name as you had it before you may need to go into the wireless settings on the laptops and tell them to forget the network and reconnect or you may need to change the SSID and security type on the router to see if then they can connect to the router.
