Can't connect to SmartTV: NETGEAR N300 Wi-Fi DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem Router (C3000)

While my smart TV can see SSID for this wireless router, the network connection is not happening, as I am unable to access any apps, nor my Amazon firestick. Below are my product details. Can someone please help me troubleshoot? I’ve been looking online for hours now….

Router: NETGEAR N300 Wi-Fi DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem Router (C3000)

I am able to access WIFI just fine from my laptop and cell phone (iPhone)

TV: Sharp LC-48LE653U 48-Inch 1080p 60Hz Smart LED TV (2015 Model)

Brand new, just purchased

Internet service provider: Time Warner Cable

They provided the modem (Ubee) and I connected that to my netgear router.

  • What Wi-Fi security is the C3000 using? You should use WPA2-PSK [AES].

It's using WPA2. It even indicates that when I search for WiFi on my SmartTV - the SSID, signal strength and security type are noted. Any suggestions?

  • Is the TV successful in joining the Wi-Fi network or it can't join at all?
  • The TV is successful in joining the wifi network. It's just that when I try to use an app it says there is an issue with network connectivity.
