The only options are Channels 1-11.
I manually selected each channel with no change. I think it's more than a channel / interference issue.
During my testing I noticed that sometimes my 2.4 SSID shows up and sometimes it doesn't. When it shows up I try to connect to it and I get the message -can't connect to the network. I'll do the "forget the network" routine and reboot the modem/router and the laptop and try the process again. Sometimes it shows up, I connect to it and it works for maybe 30-40 seconds and then disappears. The 5 ghz side works perfectly. but the 5 ghz side seems much slower than the 2.4 side.
I'm leaning towards a faulty sporadic 2.4 transmitter issue. Anyway to test that?

Perhaps confirm that the network is gone using a wifi analyzer app?

I confirmed the network is up/down using the graphing component of a wifi scan but it seems this forum doesn't allow images, even low res to be attached or included. It keeps saying try later.

A bug which has been reported to Netgear. Very annoying.

If the network disappears, then I think you either have a failing 2.4 ghz radio or the gateway is rebooting. Since 5 ghz never disappears, it does point to the radio.
