CAX30 - Comcast says it doesn't support my speeds

I have 1200Mbps cable from Comcast/Xfinity.  Speeds seem to be slower since I changed to it even though it is labeled as a "multigig" speeds on the package.  It should be able to handle my speeds, correct?  I have been having really slow connections, videos freezing, online games stopping for several seconds at a time, etc and trying to determine what is going on.

When I do a speedtest through my cellphone app (5g) i get like 400mbps and when I run a speedtest on a hardwired PC I think I got as high as ~800.

Thank You!

Have them set you to 800Mpbs.

The LAN side ports are limited to 1000Mpbs max so you'll never see over this speed.

Why do they advertise it as speeds up to 2.7Gbs and on the box label it a multi gig modem/router?
Looks like ill be taking this one back.  Any recommendations?

Yes, start off by doing some background reading so you can tell the difference between specifications and marketing hype.  The 2.7 Gbps - Multi-gig is all marketing hype.  Duckware knows their stuff and will arm you with the knowledge to make an intelligent choice of hardware.  Here is the link:

Purchase two devices to replace your combination modem/router.  The technology refresh time line for cable modems is going to be stable for some time with DOCSIS 3.1.  The technology refresh time line for routers is significantly shorter.

Look for a modem that has a 2.5 Gbps output port.

You are going to have to look hard for a router that has both 2.5 Gbps input and 2.5 Gbps output connections.  Some of the newer mesh systems do.
