Purchased Nighthawk Cax 30 as recommended by Xfinity as a “compatible” modem/router. It has been the worst purchase ever. Locks up have to reset. Did hard reset. Spent hours on phone/chat. No resolve. How are you going to have “update” of firmware and not be an update. Have to roll back the update. Reset the factory specs and still not solve an issue. Terrible product.

Terrible product.The newer combination modem/router devices have two firmware packages associated with them. The firmware package for the modem side can only be updated by Xfinity. The firmware package for the router side can be updated by the user.
