CAX80 Drops 5g wifi intermittently

CAX80 keeps dropping connection intermittently when I'm using 5g wifi.....2.4g works fine.  It's noticeable when I'm connected to my work VPN.  The connection drops after a few seconds to a couple minutes.  Once I switch to 2.4g, I've stayed connected for 24hours before I manually disconnected.  I've reviewed the other threads on this topic.....disabled SIP ALG, but that didn't work.  I've also brought another laptop home and that one does the same thing.  In fact, I had one on 2.4g and the other on 5g at the same time, the 5g drops.  I swapped the wifi connection on the computers and the drops occurred on whatever computer is running on 5g while the 2.4g never drops.  Feels like a firmware issue.

Hardware Version: 1.01

What channels are you using on the modem?

    Try channel 40 or 48 or 149?

Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?

How close are you to the modem with your devices?

Is Smart Connect enabled or disabled?

What is the brand and model # of the wifi adapter being used or device?

      I see 5 other wifi's in range.

I'm about 30' from my router, and in direct line of sight.

      SmartConnect is disabled

        Try channel 40 and 149

Can you move this one device closer to the CAX? Try 20-25 feet.

Is this the only device experiencing this issue here?

Can you test with Smart Connect enabled?
