CAX80 modem died in less than a year of usage.

I have a CAX80 modem purchased on 20-Mar-2021. It suddenly stopped working -- shows only the power button LED is on, somewhat similar to the case below). I can't factory reset it. It looks like there is no support as my warranty and chat support are expired.

The modem cost more than 400 USD and it fails in an year. I am very disappointed.

Have you pulled the power brick for 1 minute with the ISP coax line disconnected then plug back in the power brick to see if the other LEDs turn ON?

Yes, I removed all the cables, waited for about 10 minutes and then just plugged the power cable back on. Only the power LED glows white.

I tried to do the reset with the pin but no change at all. Thanks for the sugeestion.

        Can try this:

If it's powering on and then nothing else, you can do an NVRAM reset/factory reset on the device.

        1. get a paper clip - press it into the reset hole on your router and keep it held in
        2. After 30 sec. disconnect the power from it while still keeping the paper clip pressed in > wait another 30 sec
        3. After the next 30 sec, plug the power back in > keep the paper clip in the reset hole pressed in > another another 30 sec
        4. After the 3rd round of 30 sec (total of 90 sec now), release the paper clip and let it power cycle

This is called an NVRAM reset - it does the factory reset as well but also clears out anything in NVRAM that might be freezing up the device.

I would ask about a new power brick to see if this could be a bad power adapter. Otherwise maybe the modem has failed.
