CAX80 Router firmware 2.1.1.4 update fails

I just installed this CAX80 modem/router a few days ago and it has the notifacation of new firmware on home screen, but everytime I try to update the firmware it starts the action like it is downloading, but then it comes back and says "Firmware is invalid. Please try to download again." I've tried multiple times and still recieve this same message. I want to upgrade because I am interested in the security option since I am lossing security from Comcast at the end of this year.

    Try powering OFF The CAX80 for 1 minute then back on. Besure only 1 wired PC is connected to the CAX. Disconnect all other devices. Use IE11, Edge or Firefox to try and trigger the FW update. 

     

    Try a factory reset on the CAX 80 and setup from scratch then first thing is to try the FW udpate.
