CAX80 Stuck in Modem Only Mode

Hi,

 

I have a Nighthawk CAX80 that is stuck in Modem only mode.  I am unable to access the user interface of the Modem in any way to change it back.  The factory reset button is also not working.  I have tried probably 100 times to reset the modem over the last 2 days with no luck.  Netgear is no help.  All they tell me to do is reset the modem over and over and over.

 

I have tried resetting by simply pressing the reset.  I have tried resetting by holding the reset for 5 seconds.  I have tried resetting by holding for 7 seconds.  I have tried resetting by holding the button while applying power.  I have tried resetting by 30/30/30.  You name, I've tried it.  Nothing to do with a reset works.

 

Anybody have any ideas, or any secret ways to connect to the modem via USB or some other way?

    Can you access the modems web page at 192.168.100.1? 

     

    You only need a 10 seconds button press on the reset button, should kick it out of modem mode and back to router gateway mode...

      I have tried accessing 192.168.1.1 (this is the devices default), with no luck.  I have tried accessing 192.18.0.1 (what it was set to before this started happening), with no luck.  Netgear tech support had me try 192.18.100.1, with no luck.  All were done with my PC connected directly to the CAX80 via Ethernet cable.  We even tried the resets a few times with no devices connected to the CAX80.  Even tried with the COAX removed. etc...  No luck.   They even had me try manually setting my PC IP address for each of them with no luck.  They had me try just a short press of the rest button, a 5 second press, a 7 second press and a 10 second press.  All many time with no luck.  All of which I had tried numerous times with no luck.  Lastly they had me try the 30/30/30, again with no luck.  Nothing will kick the CAX80 out of router only mode.  It also cannot be accessed via the app.  The device does not output any wifi signals.  Once the device completes boot up, the only light that is on is the power light.  The only way I can access the internet with more than 1 device is to connect another wifi router to the WAN port.  All indicating it is still in modem only mode.

        Sorry, that last comment should have read 192.168.0.1 and 192.168.100.1.

         

        My irritation level is through the roof with this high-dollar brand new modem and I forgot to proofread.
