change MAC address on N450

Question

I added to a year+ old post but it looks like it didn't update, so I apologize if this is double posted somehow.

Can you manually change the MAC on this device? I could with my very old router, but can't find any way to do it in this one. If not, is there a model where you can?

Previous: modem --> vonage and computer --> vonage

Now: computer --> modem and modem --> vonage

The kicker is if I do the old configuration with the new N450, I get dialtone on Vonage and no computer connectivity.

Everything is wired with ethernet.

if you are thinking about HFC CM MAC, It is not changeable.&nbsp;&nbsp;all the ISP provisioning is done based on CM MAC.

Sorry, I don't know what that means.&nbsp;In the Vonage router, I go in to the settings, change the MAC. Unplug. Replug and the ISP generates a new IP.Can I do that with this router? If not, do you have a product that can?&nbsp;&nbsp;Secondly..... If I use the new router with the old set up, why do I get dial tone in Vonage but no network connectivity?

No, I am not aware of Cable gateways doing it. even if they have an option it does not work on an ISP network properly.&nbsp;can you please tell me how you are trying to connect the device? that will help me to answer questions.&nbsp;N450 is a router with NAT functionality, so you should be able to connect multiple device behind it unless you switched to Bridge mode.&nbsp;Is this this way?&nbsp;N450 ---- port-1 ----&gt; PC&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; ------port-2 -----&gt; Vonage&nbsp;&nbsp;
