CM1000 Amber Ethernet
For 6 months I havent had a problem with this modem. I had a storm the other night and my power blinked out, and even tho i have the modem and routers on a UPS, it seems I have a problem now.
The ethernet LED now flashes amber instead of green. So its limiting my normally 1gig connection to 100mbs. I tried bypassing my ErX router going straight to my computer. Both LAN ports, even, Still Amber. I tried using my wifi router as my main router, still amber lights. I have fiber to the house so i have reset my fiber converter, that didnt make a difference. I changed multiple ethernet cables, ones that were not even hooked up with the power problem. Still amber.
Could the power disturbance messed with the Modem? I tried factory resetting it to no avail. Every speed test is 100down/50 up, instead of 1000down/50up. So i know its not on my isp plan side. I have very little experience with the fiber converter so I am not sure how i can check if its something with it.
Is there anything else I can do besides replacing the modem to see if thats the problem? Does this modem come with a Warranty? Thanks.

Try swapping LAN cables...CAT6 is recommended.
Try a different power adapter with same voltage and amps.

I had already tried multiple CAt 5e/6 ethernet cables. I just remembered i had a spare older modem in a drawer. So i plopped it on and after getting it working, in my ErX GUI its showing ful 1000mbps connection. So putting the Netgear modem back on, but using the other power supply. It is still 100mbs. So that leads me to know it is a bad CM1000v2.
