I have exact setup you do. all day long the moden keep shuting down. i call netgear support, seme issue. everytime i add a device the modem keep shutting down. i came to the conclusion that R7800 and CM1000 Modem does not work well together. I end up putting back my old router (R7000) and so far so good. i didn't even call Cox for support. So i am returning the netgear R7800 Router.
