CM1000 modem paired with R6400v2 Router

So i've looked around on here and was never able to see a clear post in regards to the problem im having. But in short, I currently have 6 devices connected to my network. running at an average 160mbps. BUT, when i attempt to turn on my playstation and connect to the network. The modem starts acting strange and totally disconnects. It will sometimes reboot and be successful, but other times it will sit idle with the power light solid and the very bottom ethernet led solid. Could it be that the extra device overloads the router and or modem? I'm not really sure what the issue is and hope someone has some advice. Thank you in advance.

"devices"?  "connected" how, exactly?  What, exactly, is connected to
what, exactly?  Wired?  Wireless?  (Hint: If a device has multiple
Ethernet ports, then "connected to device" is not enough detail.)  I'd
expect an R6400v2 to have four LAN Ethernet ports, so where do these "6
devices" tie in?  Is the CM1000 Ethernet port connected to anything
other than the WAN/Internet port of the R6400v2?

What is the router doing when this happens?

Overload?  Not really, but if you connect some device with a
bad/conflicting configuration, then you could upset the router, at
    least.
