CM1200 activated as ARRIS TG862G via Xfinity app

After replacing my CM1200 last December due to constant connection issues with Comcast, I wanted to try it out again to see if Comcast made any changes on their end or if mine is defective.

But after activating my CM1200 via Xfinity app, it shows up as ARRIS TG862G. Can anyone with Comcast and the CM1200 verify? I know the CM1000 and SB8200 are shown correctly on the app. My internet is working fine for now but I just want to know if others are experiencing this issue before I waste time with Comcast CS.

And another issue that might be related; I'm on the 1200 Mbps plan and my CM1200 is limited to 4 upstream channels while the CM1000 has 5 and SB8200 has 6. It may be a non issue but it's something I've noticed.

Its just going to be how comcast identifies it in their system. It shouldn't change performance at all.

    I wouldn't worry about it.

In terms of your upstream channels, thats not an issue either. Reason why is upstream is so much lower than downstream. I'm on the same plan and my upstream speed is 50mbps. 4 channels have no problem saturating 50mbps upload. I've had my modems have 4-6 locked depending on the day. Some days its 4, others its 6.

But its always been able to max out the 50mbps.
