CM1200 and R6400v2, should I upgrade the router

I've had the R6400V2 router for a few years now. Just switched out the Cox panoramic modem for my own CM1200. On various devices and apple tv units, it shows connected but not getting internet. One apple tv and mobile phone will get internet but buffer often. I have the cox gigablast plan with unlimited devices. Do I need to update my router? We stream a lot (Hulu Live TV, etc) and we have a younger one with several gaming consoles.
  • If you have 1Gb services from your ISP, the router you have currently may not fully support those speeds, so yes, I would upgrade the router. NGs R series or XR if your a gamer, or RAX if you need wifi AX support.

Thanks for your input. I was looking at getting the R7000P.

You might consider the R7800 or R7960P or R8000. I knows these two support 1Gb services. Unsure about the R7000P.
