CM1200 frequent drops in upload and download

brand new modem, ISP service connected to RAX80 router.   SImple setup, no linke agg (just bouth the ability for the future).  ISP service (400gbs up, 40gps down optimum) is good 80% of the time, but randomly drops during the day to bad levels (almost zero or zero up and down).   Have had multiple visits from techs and in each case they blamed on outside lines and made adjustments.   ISP is suggesting that cm1200 is bad and is recommending replacement with their modem.   Modem firmware is 1.01.02, online netgear support shows 1.02.xx available but I can't get the ISP to push the firmware to see if it helps.     Full logs in attachment.

Have the ISP check the signal and line quality UP to the modem.
Be sure there are no coax cable line splitters in the between the modem and ISP service box.
Be sure your using good quality RG6 coax cable up to the modem.

Try a different modem as well. See if the problem still happens or not.

I had another tech come out and they did verify that there was noise in the line.   Regarding firmware upgrades, I purchased the modem form a retailier so is the ISP still responsible for firmware upgrades?

Some ISPs may not do FW updates on user owned modems. Something to ask the ISP about.
