CM2000 - Cannot login
Hi everyone.
So about two hours ago I lost my internet connection. I figured I'd just have to reset my modem and router, something I don't recall doing since getting the CM2000 back in October. Tried a few times, no luck.
Surprisingly, I was able to get internet when directly connected to the computer. However, my upstream light was still blinking. I tried to login to the modem, and it wouldn't work. So, I reset to factory settings to see if the default password would work. It won't! I see the login page but when I enter the password the screen just flashes back to the login page.
And now, I cannot get any internet at all.
Does anyone have any idea what might be going on here?! Obviously the computer can see the modem, but I cannot login.
ANY help would be appreciated. I sure hope this $250 modem isn't dead after less than a year.

Quick update - I tried plugging the coax back in to see if by chance Xfinity could see the modem and reset it. Surprisingly, it found it this time, sent the signal to reset, and it worked.
However, I still cannot login to the modem, and the upstream light keeps on blinking. I really don't want to try plugging into the router in case that makes the modem mad again.

I had to power off my CM2000 for 1 minute and the uplink LED stopped blinking for mine after i got mine set up. I did it the next day.
Please post a copy and paste of the modems connection status page.
Have the ISP check the signal and line quality UP to the modem. Be sure the ISP provisions the modem correctly.
Be sure there are no coax cable line splitters in the between the modem and ISP service box.
Be sure your using good quality RG6 coax cable up to the modem.Be sure to check all coax line fittings for tightness.
Be sure to power OFF the modem for 1 minute then back ON.

I fyou look at the bottome of your modem, you will see a password. That is the password to enter on the login screen of the modem. You might have to do it twice, but you will be able to loginto the modem. Hope that helps.
