CM2000 - Multi-Gig light off
Hi,
My CM2000 started to seemingly disable the WAN Ethernet port this evening. I worked with Xfinity support and was told that I needed to update the firmware (which should be pushed by them?). The device will provide network access for about 5 minutes after a 30 second power cycle. I've also unplugged it for a few minutes at a time and come to the same issue. Device is showing DRW violations, RNG-RSP CCAP commanded power exceeds value corresponding to the top of the DRW, an associated REG-RSP-MP Mismatch for P1.6hi, and a SYNC Timing Synchronization failure - failed to acquire QAM/QPSK symbol timing. According to the ISP support everything checks out on their end and it's an issue on mine. I purchased the modem in July and according to Netgear I am no longer supported by the warranty. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'll provide what I can from my phone as I obviously can't pull much from the unit since it won't communicate over the Ethernet port.

Yes, ISPs will push FW to user modems. C and CM series do not have a user supported FW update function.
What Brand and model host router do you have connected to the CMs WAN port? I presume this router supports Multi Gig speeds aswell?

Currently my CM is connected to a custom firewall running pfSense with a 1gig backplane. I'll reconfigure my router tonight and try skipping the firewall and going direct to my router, it's a TP-Link AX1100 with a multi-gig WAN.

Use manual inidicates it should be ON as Blinking WHITE for normal traffic flow for a 1Gb connection:
https://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/CM2000/CM2000_UM_EN.pdf
Blinking white. The port is sending or receiving traffic at 1 Gbps
If you have a Multi Gig supporing router, the BLUE should be seen.
