CM2000 Rapid flashing lights new setup

I unplugged my older CM1000 and plugged in new CM2000 as instructed with COAX cable. Rapid flashing white lights occurred immediately and has not changed. I’ve held reset for ~15 seconds Unplug coax...

    Probably got a defective unit. All flashing lights tends to be a hardare failure. 

    It's more than likely faster to exchange it wherever you bought it than go through netgears rma process.

If you go through the Netgear RMA process, there is a good chance you will receive a refurbished unit in exchange.  Like plemans recommends, the best option is to get it replaced through your original vendor.
