CM2050V - Lights have stopped working - need to worry?
In the past 6 months, the Upload light on my CM2050V has stopped working. I assume that is due to the Firmware issue. I had the same exact issue from 2019-2022 with another Netgear modem. No fix, just both sides pointing fingers at the other to fix it. It was the reason I finally upgraded to the CM2050V, now same issue.
But, in the past month, most of the lights have stopped working on the unit. Power, Download and the Online lights have stopped working. The only lights that are working now, are the Ethernet and Phone1 lights are working. The modem does still work, but I'm concerned the modem is dying. I worked with Netgear support and went thru troubleshooting. Their opinion is, since the Power light doesn't work, it's a hardware issue.
I work from home, so this is a big issue for me. After going thru the troubleshooting session yesterday (01/03), I went to Best Buy and bought another CM2050V, just in case.
All opinions are welcome,
Curtis

Power is ok.
Correctables and Un-correctables should be zeros.
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.
What is the brand and model of the host wifi router connected to the modem? If you get the 2nd CM modem, try it's power adapter on the 1st modem to see if the LED behavoirs change.
Have you powered OFF the 1st modem and disconnected it from the ISP coax line then powered it on to see if the LEDs change behavior?
Any Factory resets as well?
Any Criticals, Errors or Warnings seen in the event logs needs to be reviewed and resolved by the ISP. Indicates a signal issue on the ISP line up to the modem.
