CM2050V firmware update
I am wondering if there is still a plan to update the firmware for the CM2050V modem problem or is this something that is no longer in the works? I purchased this modem months ago specifically for the voice feature and have yet to connect my phone because I am waiting to see if this is going to be fixed or if I should move on to a different modem. Thanks.

Would be something to contact the ISP about. Voice has been supported on this model modem since it first came out. If there is a problem, the ISP would be to send out a tech and have them help you with getting that working.

Thank you for your response. I have not attempted to connect a phone yet to this modem as I am waiting for them to fix the other problems with it so I don't know if voice works or not. If Netgear doesn't plan on putting out new firmware then I am going to need to get a new modem and there isn't really anything else to choose from that is acceptable to my ISP and I don't plan on renting equipment from them so I will need to find another phone service. Right now my phone is with another service that I may not have for much longer and I don't want to port it to my ISP until things are corrected

Who is the ISP your with?
The CM series should work for your phone needs. It may not be a FW issue in your case. The ISP needs to check all the lines and signal up to the modem and also check the phone line connections from the modem to your phone devices. There could be cabling or phone line (RJ11) box interconnect issues that a phone line tech should take a look at.
Can post the following captures for review to see if there are any signal line issues up to the modem if you want:

The CM2050V voice feature works fine on Comcast. Who is your ISP?
