CM2050V modem drops connection/freezes

Having a problem with my CM2050V Modem.

Will drop connection randomly about once a day. Power cycling the device was working to fix the issue for a while. It will now drop connection, and then freeze, (unable to log in via a web browser/"not responding" being reported in windows diagnostic/troubleshooting tool. I have to factory reset the device to get it to function properly and be able to log in to the modem.

When it freezes, the "power light" alternates flashing with the "downstream/upstream/online lights". After it is factory reset, I am able to log in and internet connection is restored. Once restored it will function properly for a few hours then I will have to repeat the process again. 

 

I opened a support ticket with NetGear but figured I would check here in the mean time to see if there was a fix or if I need to RMA the modem.

 

ISP: Xfinity. (comcast)

Hardware version 1.01

Cable Firmware version V2.01.03

OS Windows 11 (but also used with other internet connected devices; TVs, Phones, Gaming devices etc...)

Using the modem in conjunction with Nighthawk Pro Gaming WiFi 6 Gaming Router (XR1000)
