Cm400 Overheating and slow speed

Question

I've been noticing slow internet speeds over the last month. I'm supposed to have 120mb/s download speed through Comcast but often can barely get more than 10, often around 1 mb/s. Unplugging the modem and router sometimes help jump speeds up to 20 mb/s. I verified the router was not the issue as I plugged the modem directly into a laptop and reset the modem but still only had speed of 0.8 mb/s. I also noticed the modem is really hot to the touch. I used a laser temp gun to measure the heat and it's 110 F on the top and 125 F on the bottom. It's laying on top of a subwoofer out in the open. Firmware&nbsp; V1.01.18

If you have checked with comcast about issues on there side and everything is good you may want to contact support if the modem is still under warranty.
