CM500 is very slow isp says their connection is very good. Any way to check the modem settings?

I just signed up for xfinity 800 mbps service and I am only getting 25 to 35 mbps from my CM500 modem connected to a Netgear N150 Router. Xfinity technical support ran test on the connection and says their end is working fine.

Any suggestions on what to do?

What is the brand and model of the host wifi router connected to the modem?

Direct ethernet connect 1 wired PC to the back of the CM modem and speed test here. You'll need to power OFF the modem for 30 seconds, connect the PC then power back ON.

Please post a copy and paste of the modems connection status page.
Have the ISP check the signal and line quality UP to the modem. Be sure the ISP provisions the modem correctly.
Be sure there are no coax cable line splitters in the between the modem and ISP service box.
Be sure your using good quality RG6 coax cable up to the modem.
Be sure to power OFF the modem for 1 minute them back ON.

     1. the cm500 isn't rated to 800mbps on xfinity. If you want to get full speeds, you'll need to upgrade modems.

    2. most N150 routers were base models and most only rated to 10/100mbps wired. Wireless tends to be 20-30mbps. So how are you testing speeds?

    3. what speeds do you get with a pc/laptop directly connected to the cm500 (without the router connected)?
