CM500 won't come online

Following instructions on the quick start guide. Modem won't come online; Internet LED does not come on at all, so doesn't blink or become a solid green. Tried to re-connet the cable and power off. Any ideas are appreciated.

    Did you activate it through your isp?

    It needs to be activated and partitioned by your isp. Some ISP's have an online activate you can go through and some you need to call in.
