CM700 Download Speeds

I am currently using a CM700 Modem along with a Netgear AC1750 dual band router. I am currently getting between 200-300 MBPS speeds when I should be getting closer to 1000. Comcast ran checks on their end and they said it should be good and they said it may be an equipment issue. Anyone know if it's a problem with the modem?

    Are you speed testing with a wired PC connected directly to the back of the CM modem with out the NG router being online? 

    What is the model# of the NG router? R####?
