CM700 Warranty Information

Hello All:

 

I was considering a CM700 purchase but I was wondering about the length of the warranty. The product page states:

  "NETGEAR Warranty

  • This product comes with a limited warranty that is valid only if purchased from a NETGEAR authorised reseller.

    * 90-day complimentary technical support following purchase from a NETGEAR authorised reseller."

But what happens after 90 days and where can I find this in print?

 

Netgear's warranty page (https://www.netgear.com/about/warranty/) says:

 

"The length of the limited warranty will vary depending upon the NETGEAR product you bought. Please see the product detail pages on netgear.com to determine the warranted period for your specific NETGEAR product."

 

I spoke to Netgear's support and was told that Netgear cable modems usually have a warranty period for a year. However, I can only see this in print after I purchase the product.

 

Does anyone know where to find this in writing prior to purchasing the product? I would think that any reputable company would make this information easy to find prior to purchasing the item.

    Hello Vpkrv

     

    The warranty on cable modems is typically a 1 year hardware warranty and the 90 day support it is located on the modems box how long the warranty is.
