Coax cable can't screw-in to modem/router.

I tried to screw-in a standard coax cable into my modem/router but it doesn't screw-in. Is there a special coax cable required for netgear?

What NG model modem do you have?

Ask the ISP about what and how to connect to there cable line. RG6 is needed for Coax cable modem ISPs.

Take a look at the end of the coax. I've seen them snipped off and the copper wire get flattened a bit. Not a lot but just enough to cause issues when pushing into the connector.

Got a picture of the end of the coax cable?

The problem is the threads don't match. The female  connector in the cable modem/router seems to be thinner than the standard one. I am able to screw the coax cable into all the other devices except this one. Does this require a special coax cable?
