connexon lose on Netgear router c3700

My router loses network connection several times per day for several minutes at a time.  ISP Comcast says that the problem is not with them. I bought a new modem/router (c3700). Comcast is not able to make it work. What is the problem?

    Although it may be new to you, the technical design of the C3700 is very old. 

     

    If you can, recommend your return the C3700 to the vendor and purchase a newer design.  As a minimum a DOCSIS 3.1 device.

    100% agree with Kitsap . If you just bouth the C3700, return it. 

    Its an old base model decsis 3.0 device that is just N600. I'm doubtful any isp will be supporting it for much longer and will only be at the lowest speed tiers.
