Considering CM1200 for Gigabit connection (Xfinity) + Google Nest Wifi Router + Points
Hello,
I am somewhat new to this space and setting up my first smart home. I recently purchased all new Nest Wifi, Audio, etc. products and I'm trying to decide which router to get (as I don't want to pay Comcast more than I have to). I'm not certain what speed I'm going to get from Xfinity but likely will go with Gigabit. I've read about a lot of issues customers have integrating with Nest Wifi Router, and I'm wondering if anyone can reccomend the right modem for me? Should it be a standalone modem or is there some value in getting an integrated modem+router?

The CM1200 is a good modem. What I'm using currently. Though I'm on Sparklight and do not use NEST Wifi. My Orbi AX and Orbi AC are working well behind my CM1200. If you don't seen additional WAN ports, NGs CM1000 is a good modem as well.
Things to check for any cable modem:
Have the ISP check the signal and line quality UP to the modem. Be sure the ISP provisions the modem correctly.
Be sure there are no coax cable line splitters in the between the modem and ISP service box.
Be sure your using good quality RG6 coax cable up to the modem.
