Customer owned CM2000-100NAS cable modem - how do I update my firmware?
Greetings Tech Gurus,
I own my own cable modem (CM2000-100NAS). From there I connect to an ORBI for house wifi,
which works great.
My question - since I have a customer owned cable modem, I believe I need to update the modem
firmware myself. I looked for instructions but everything I find points to my ISP (which is Comcast)
Q1) Do I need to update my own firmware on a customer owned cable modem?
Q2) If yes, any link or pointers on how to accomplish this
Thanks so much!

Users not not allowed to update modem FW on C and CM series modems. ISP can only update the FW:
Even on user owned modems. FYI, some ISPs will not update user owned modems. Ask them.
