D7000 2.4hz channel is not working

You've posted a question (badly) about a DSL modem+router in a forum
intended for "Cable Modems & Routers", and included approximately no
useful information in it. "not working" is not a useful problem
description. It does not say what you did. It does not say what
happened when you did it. As usual, showing actual actions with their
actual results (error messages, LED indicators, ...) can be more helpful
than vague descriptions or interpretations.
Firmware version?
To begin, visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model
number, and look for Documentation. Get the User Manual. Read.

Manual read. Did that before posting here.
What was I doing? Using chromecast and connecting with my phone.
Tried every other device in the house to connect to the 2.4 channel.
Lights that would suggest error, none.
Error messages only from other devices saying cannot connect.
Just as vague only more words.
Guessing my option is return faulty device as forum just as useful as non existent phone service- antinodeJan 16, 2018Guru

Wasn't obvious.

I'm glad that you're satisfied, but that doesn't tell me much about
the actual states of the LED indicators on your router. The "2.4 GHz
WiFi", "5 GHz WiFi", and "WiFi On/Off button with WiFi LED" LEDs would
be particularly interesting.
> Just as vague only more words.
Yup. Which is why some accurate, specific details would be more
helpful.
> Firmware version?
Still wondering.
> Tried every other device in the house to connect to the 2.4 channel.
What, exactly, happens when you try? Does that network SSID appear
in the lists of available networks on these devices? Does the 5GHz
radio work any better?

"Life is like a sewer... what you get out of it depends on what you
put into it."- Disgruntled666Jan 16, 2018AspirantMy reading it is as obvious as the questions you want answers to without asking them.
2.4hz - white not flashing
5hz-white not flashing
DSL- white not flashing
Net-white not flashing
Power-white not flashing
More specific details are very simple to give when one knows the details that the individual requires. Again I cannot read your mind.
Firmware- v1.0.1.44
Yes the 2.4 is visible, it says "authentication error" when trying to connect. Yes same password is used on devices as the network. Re-entered for each attempt.
5hz works fine for everything except the chromecast, which is an older model so only works on 2.4.
I might repeat your quote of poor taste as one cannot answer questions they do not know.
Spend less time infront of the monitor and go out and work on your interpersonal skills. Your life will taste less like a sewer.
