Dropping Connection Multiple Times a Day -- Do not purchase

I have browsed multiple topics and see this is a recurring theme.  I have the c3700 in my home and another home.  In both it crashes multiple times a day.  It then reboots and works fine until it crashes and reboots.  This happens at least 10 times a day.  It is not the cable as my old modem and router work fine in both homes.  It is not on a splitter.  It is the netgear router.  I have not seen an answer to this problem in any of the discussion topics.  Do not purchase this router/modem combo unless you want the aggravation of waiting for it to reboot every half hour or so.

  • I should note I've done the reset multiple times on both devices.  Since it is happening with both units in both homes there is no question it is the netgear modem/router that is the issue.  I've also seen multiple discussion posts with this same issue and none have been resolved.

  • IM HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THE SAME UNIT EVERYDAY.

    • It's crashed in the neighborhood of 20-25 times today.  It's the biggest pos I've ever purchased, and that includes my first car, which was 10 years old.  I am going to go on a crusade to warn people.  It's beyond annoying.

        Hello somethingcleve5 and LALIN

I would contact Netgear support if the modem is still under warranty they will be able to do some troubleshooting with you and replace the modem if they find it defective.
