Fs608 v2 - 8 Ports: How to connect to DsL Modem
Hello,
I've got a FS608 v2 Fast ethernet swicth from my friend. But i don't know how to connect this
to the DSL Modem. Which Port do i use for the ethernet cable that comes from the DSL moden...

description of anything?

Plain "2132", not "2132xxx"? To me, that looks like a router, not a
modem, and not a simple switch:

What I said was that connecting a modem to a switch would probably be
a mistake. But your "the Modem" seems to be a router, so connecting a
switch to one of its LAN ports should be fine. Except that a "Vigor2132
Series Security Giga Router" would seem to have gigabit Ethernet ports,
so that a "Fast" Ethernet switch could add a new bottleneck to your
network.
If you ever decide to reveal what your equipment actually is, and how
all of it is connected, then it might be possible to stop guessing, and
make some actual progress. (I won't hold my breath.)

Still a mystery.
If you can't tell a modem from a router from a switch, then you might
want to sort that out before you start shopping for new gizmos which may
or may not do anything useful for you.
