G54/N150 wireless router set up second owner

Question

I was given this router which had been previously used. I am having issues setting it up because everytime I try to plug in the IP address it says that it is already designated to another owner. I don't know how to change that or set it up. I own a Macbook Pro retina 13'. The Macbook also does not have an ethernet cable connection it.

Hello hlstatum

I would try to do a factory reset on the device by holding in the reset button on the back of the router for 10 seconds then you can setup the router how you would like.
