Jan 11, 2019Wow, sorry for the incomplete post - My first time using this board. I had the modem model number listed in the header of the post, CM1100. This community site needs updated as it does not allow a user to select this particular modem from a drop-down list. I thought that I was asking a pretty generic question, I was obviously wrong. I called Netgear support for an answer to my question and was given an incorrect response. It is not described on the modem box or in the literature included, but If anyone needs to know - the CM1100 has two Ethernet ports located on the back of the modem. You can use LAN1 to connect an Ethernet device to the modem. LAN2 can only be used in conjunction with LAN1 as part of a Link Aggregation Group (LAG). The CM1100 can only support one wired Ethernet connection at a time.
