Horrible customer support
Bought a new CM2000 modem in February, worked great for 3 months and died. Every light on the modem started a very rapid flash when powered on. If yours does this, its done, its a brick.
Technical/customer support was so bad, I mean really horrible. Cant understand the very thick indian accent. Roosters crowing in the background was so loud, it only compounded the language struggle. Placed on hold numerous times for extended periods, only to have someone else pickup and have to start the the whole effed up process over again…..Three days later and three more attempts, I finally got an RMA after repeated tries to upsale before they would give me the number.

I'd make sure you're talking to actual customer support. many people google for a number and get scam sites.
To get a hold of support. Click on "MyNetgear" at the top.
Register an account (or login) and then the device.
From there you can start the support/rma process.
