How do i connect a guard cam to my modem

I am trying to connect my pilot guardcam to my wifi but have been unable.  Is there something I need to do to allow it to connect.

  • Did you follow the setup instructions for your guardcam?  Looks like you need to use their smartphone app to set it up.  Their cameras only support 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, so if you have a dual-band router be sure to use the Wi-Fi password of the 2.4 GHz band that you have configured on your router.

I was told that Netgear did an upgrade which now does not allow these to connect.  When I asked tech support for help they told me that since I purchased my router 97 days ago it is no longer covered by the 90 day assistance.  (Makes up my mind wether to use this brand in my business or not)  Is there any way to lower the firewall long enough for me to connect the camera.

Yeah, Netgear's support model leaves much to be desired.  Anyway, it's not clear what Netgear told you.  The router's firewall should have nothing to do with connecting your camera to the Wi-Fi network.  Did you offer any explanation?
