How do I upgrade the router firmware on R6400 without the app
Hello, My router just stopped working. It's only 3 months old. Last time this happened, it just needed a firmware update but we had to a complete factory reboot. I cannot update the firmware using the Nighthawk app because that requires a wifi connection and I can't get a wifi connection because the router isn't working. You guys HAVE TO HAVE a better solution than doing a factory reboot everytime the firmware needs to be upgraded. I can't find any instructions anywhere for upgrading the firmware without the Nighthawk app. This shouldn't take 13 hours of dealing with technical support, yet both times that is what I've had to do. Please tell me someone knows how to get the upgrade pushed. Thanks.

Nevermind. I figured it out. For others trying to figure that out, here are the instructions:
1. connect your computer to your router with an ethernet cable
2. go to "routerlogin.net"
3. type "admin" for the username and the password you set up for admin
4. click Advanced>Administration>Router Update>Check

Mark your thread as solved so others will know.
Also review user manuals. This shows you how to update FW as well.
Enjoy.
