How to change network name?

Xfinity has just installed WiFi in my apartment today. I purchased my own Netgear modem. Therefore I cannot change the network name through the Xfinity website. But there are no instruct...

Are you asking about a name (SSID) for a wireless network, or what?
If all you have is a CM700, which is a cable-TV modem, then you don't
have a wireless network. If you want a wireless network, then you'd
also need a wireless router. (Or you could get a modem+router in one
package. A Netgear model number for such a modem+router typically
begins with "C", not "CM".)
