How to turn your wifi off for others in your household without changing the password.
Hello, I am new to the forums and have been facing a dilemma of sorts which I hope I can find a solution for.
Currently, I am using Time Warner Cable as my internet provider I have a Netgear C3000 forgive me for I am not too heavily invested in modems and whatnot, but my question is this. Can I turn off wifi access for others in my home save for me and my girlfriend?
Time and time again I will attempt to play my Xbox and will be kicked off due to to many devices running and it makes me so angry. Any help on the topic would be appreciated.

You could always setup parental controls on the router. It allows you to block sites, set schedules, etc.
Or you could setup the guest network for them to use and the main network for you. whenever it gets to congested, shut off the guest network.
Here's the manual that shows parental control options or guest network options.
