I am having problems changing the password on my CG3000D router

I have tried using the default gateway but it won't load up on my computer.  I have 2 people who have hacked into my router and are riding piggy back on my wifi.  I want to either change my password ...

How do you do a factory reset? I tried to change my password on the website, but now I just can't login and can't access the website, for routerlogin.net ...

    There is a small hole on the back of the modem you just use a paper clip to hold it down for 10 sec then it will factory reset.
