Thank you for your answer. So if I have a wireless network I can and should do it?

When I started to update the updating I found out that at a certain point I was asked to log in using the IP-address 192.168..1.1 (if I hadn't changed it). I do not recall having changed my IP-address but my notes indicate that my IP-address is 192.168.1.3. If I continue the updating will my IP-address then occur and not 192.168.1.1?
Thank you for replying!

I understand now that no IP-address will “occur”. Sorry for my ignorance!
However when I try to log in using either 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.3 (se above message) it doesn’t work. Using …1.1, I’m asked to log in with username and password. So I conclude that my notes are correct and that my IP-address is 192.168.1.3.
But trying to log in, it doesn’t work at all. This is the message I get:
The site can not be reached
192.168.1.3 rejected the connection.
Test that
Check the connection
Check the proxy and firewall
As browser I’m using Google Chrome.
Could you please help me out!
(As you already noticed, I have very limited computer knowledge. So please if you can help me out, keep it on a simple level.)
Thanks in advance!

Have you tried to log in with www.routerlogin.net ? and did you ever change your log in password?

Yes I have tried to log in with ww.routerlogin.net and no, have not changed my log in password.
Is the log in password the same as the SSID password? I have tried to login with my wireless password = SSID but have not been successful. When I use "admin" and "password" to log in, I can see that the SSID password is the correct one. I have no other log in or password!
Loged in with "admin" and "password" I can see is 5 boxes:
- Internet
- Wireless
- Attached devices
- Parental Controls
- Guest Network
but no "Maintenance" nor any "Router update". How to proceed??? Soon I give up!!
