Intermittent loss of connection with Xfinity

My CM600 loses connection with Xfinity about 10-20 times a day. It seems to be losing the Upload stream bonding on channels 69-72. There are times it will work for 2-3 days with no issues then it starts up will connection loss and have to hard boot the modem a number of times during the day. Sometimes it loses connection then recovers connection within a minute or so. I think Xfinity has some line noise or node issues, but who knows.

    Hello Kevin58

I would remove any cable splitters connected to the modem to see if that improves the signal if not I would contact the ISP have them check the lines.

  • I have worked in IT for a very long time, so I knew my dad needed to quit paying Xfinity the $12 a month or whatever it is when he could have purchased a fricken Nighthawk Tri-Band 802.11ac Router and a good quality modem to go with it by the time you really add up all those rental fees. However, my dad is not a like things to change kinda guy so he insisted on keeping their equipment. So one day I finally went to Best Buy bought the dual-band N600 modem router combo, which was a good choice for him b/c he will not be paying for over 150mb/s anytime soon. Everything worked flawlessly for about 4-6 months, then we kind of slowly started to notice I was having to get the N600 working again more and more frequently which caused me to finally realize what was causing this to happen, the same thing everytime just like the other dude on this post....ALWAYS A PROBLEM WITH THE UPLOAD PART OF THE ROUTER, which made that light blink consistently while all the others were solid. The only fix I have found is to completely unscrew the coax cable after powering off and removing power plug in, waiting 20-25 seconds, carefully re-screwing on the coax and plugging in the power source then powering on. It may do this same as the other dudes 10 times a day or once every 4 days or so. Idk what to do and I dont want my dad to be without internet for who knows how long while he waits for an RMA repair. If anyone knows how to fix please let me know, Thanks
