Is the netgear CM500v the same as the CM500v-100NAS

I need to purchase a modem that handles both Cable and Voice for my Comcast Service. I am sure that the Netgear CM500v handles both but it is currently out of stock. BestBuy sells a CM500V-100NAS which they claim handles both as well. Are these two then one and the same?

I want to make sure that I get the correct modem for my needs. Any enlightment on this would be highly appreciated.

  •    I know nothing, but it seems that these extended model numbers can be
decoded.  In "D7000-NNNggg", "D7000" is the base model number.  "-NNN"
    is the hardware version: "-100" = "v1"/plain, "-200" = "v2", and so on.
"ggg" is the geographic region: "NAS" = North America, and so on.  (All
    end in "S"?)

I assume that the region determines details in the kit like the power
adapter input voltage range, cables, filters, and so on -- things which
might depend on the local situation/regulations.  It might also affect
the firmware interface language, and perhaps the default
    wireless-network region setting.

       So, I'd expect a "CM500V-100NAS" to be a "CM500V" (plain/"v1") for
    North America.
