my modem is acting up please help!

Can you take a screen snip of your connections page? with both upload and download shown?

This can help with figuring out if the signal is decent. 

A few things I recommend for troubleshooting:

1. remove any splitters/amplifiers/90 degree elbows from the line

2. Check you cables for cheap connectors, bends in the line, corrosion, moisture in the line.

3. Move the modem to right where your isp connection comes into the house. This reduces that chance of wiring within the home causing the issues.

A screen snip of before you do this and one of afterwards is beneficial. :) 

Have the ISP check the signal and line quality up to the modem.

Be sure your using good quality RG6 coax cable up to the modem.
