N450 CG3000Dv2 - no Connection

I have spent the last 4-5 hours trying to get this gateway set up w/ Comcast/Xfinity. I was going from a TP-Link Modem + Belkin Router connection to this gateway in hopes my speeds and connection would be better. Originally an agent told me on the phone that on his side it showed that this was compatible, but he pointed me to their website and it showed it was and a few other agents never said anything about it not being compatible. I'm struggling getting it set up and have ran through all the troubleshoots with Comcast/Xfinity agents and there is no connection seeming to show up, but some of the agents seemed questionable especially the last one who set me up with a "great deal" and just got me to hook their gateway back up. I would love to have some assistance as I cannot find a solution and others seem to have no issue.

This sounds like a issue in your ISPs system not putting the correct codes and provisioning your modem you may need to ask for higher technical assistance as some reps only care about making more sales then fixing the issue.

Yesterday I went to the comcast store to talk to a represantive about what had occured and talk to them about what could or needs to be done at their level. I now have an issue of one of the agents set me up on a new Triple Starter Package and that has a voice line included, the guy at the store informed me that now will be an issue as supposedly the data packets being sent will not work with the modem I have purchased. But he said that he can get rid of the package hopefully starting today, I had sent for a replacement as we want to be sure it's not the modem itself somehow as I had to wait anyways.
When I get the new modem and call for an agent to assist in setting up, is there anything specific you suggest that I do or ask? When I was at the store I confirmed the serial and CM MAC address, the information on their side seemed correct. I've never had to go in depth with changing modems and routers out.
