Need help
I've recently upgraded to the Netgear Nighthawk C7000v2 and upgraded my Xfinity plan from 75mbps to 1000mbps. For some reason I get the full 800-1000mbps speed on my desktop that's connected to the Ethernet cable, but my wireless speed is incredibly slow. My Xbox which is connected to the 5Ghz wifi is downloading games at 15-20mbps for example. I have had an Xfinity guy come out and test everything to make sure it's okay on their end and it is. So the only possibility now is the router/modem. What might be the issue??

What is the brand and model of the wireless device?
FYI, you'll never see anything near 1000Mpbs on 5Ghz AC due to it's limitation design and client side hardware design and support. Most device may top out at 300-400Mpbs depending on there design and support.

A little surprised as xfinity doesn't rate the C7000 for their gigabit plans. I think it maxes out at 800mbps over wired. They only certify docsis 3.1 devices for gigabit speeds and the c7000 isn't docsis 3.1.
