Need suggestions on Cable Modem

I will be switching my internet service from AT&T Uverse to Comcast Xfinity but before I do I would like to hear your suggestions on which cable modem to purchase.  I'm switching b/c AT&T is charging me $71/month (includes $10/month for modem rental) for a 24 Mbs download plan.  With Comcast I will be paying less for 75Mbs download and able to use the modem of my choice.

In my current setup, I have my Netgear Nighthawk X6 (R8000) router connected to a AT&T Arris NVG599 modem.  Before I switch to Comcast, I want to purchase a good  cable modem to connect to my Netgear X6 router.  Which one do you think is the best?  As mentioned, I'm leaning toward the 75 or possibly 100Mbs plan.  Note, although price is somewhat of a factor, I am more interested in quality and performance.
