Netgear 450/CG3000DV2 router inaccessible/changed admin

I bought this router used on Amazon and the idiot who sold it had changed the login info and not changed it back. I tried the 7 second factory reset on the back but that didn't do the trick. Is there any way to get access to this router interface now?

    Try a 10-15 second press of the reset button then release. Might do this with the modem disconnected from the ISP coax line. 

     

    FYI this model modem is fairly older in generation. You might want to send it back and find something newer.

      Thanks - the longer reset hold worked. I was surprised because the lights still come back on at 7 seconds. I don't want to spend on a newer one because the cable internet in our neighborhood is so crappy and expensive it doesn't make much sense to...
